Saline tattoo removal offers a natural and non-toxic solution for lightening and eventually eliminating unwanted permanent makeup, microblading, or body tattoos. Using the same technique as the original application, a non-acidic saline solution is tattooed into the area, gradually achieving a lightening effect with each session. Through the process of osmosis, the hypertonic saline solution prompts the pigment to rise and move outward, allowing the body to expel it during the healing phase when a scab forms. This method offers a safe and effective way to remove unwanted tattoos.

Tattoo pigment removal and lightening is a complex and individualized process that varies based on several factors. Each session, which lasts around 45 minutes, results in the removal of a certain amount of pigment. Generally, a minimum of three sessions is required, with treatments spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. The number of sessions needed depends on the age of the tattoo, the saturation level of the pigment, and the depth at which the pigment was originally tattooed. It is important to note that the pigment may appear darker before it gradually lightens, particularly if it was deeply embedded. Pigment closer to the surface and less saturated tends to be easier to remove.

Please note that the outcomes of saline removal/lightening procedures cannot be predetermined, anticipated, or assured. While it may not completely restore your skin to its pre-procedure colour, our saline removal process can significantly fade the undesired tattoo colour by up to 90% over multiple sessions.

After undergoing treatment, the redness around the treated area typically diminishes within one to two hours. As the skin dries out and scabs begin to form, the redness within the treated area transitions into a brown hue. It is crucial to maintain dryness in the treated area for the following 48 hours.

Removal/Lightening After Care:

To ensure a successful and scar-free healing process, adhering to the following aftercare instructions is crucial:

  • Keep the treated area clean and allow it to be exposed to the air. Avoid covering it, as air promotes faster healing. Refrain from touching the area to prevent complications.
  • Avoid submerging the treated area in water. While showering is permitted, keep the area away from the spray and minimize its exposure to water for more than a few minutes.
  • Steer clear of activities such as bathing, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, tanning, or intense exercise during the healing period.
  • Resist the temptation to disrupt the scabbing process. Avoid picking or scratching at the scabs, as it may lead to scarring. Allow the scabs to naturally fall off.
  • Once all scabs have naturally fallen off, apply a thin layer of ointment 2-3 times per day for two weeks or until the next session. However, refrain from applying the ointment until all scabs have completely fallen off. Keeping the area dry until then is our primary objective.

It is essential to allow a full six weeks for healing before scheduling another lightening session, as this timeframe is necessary for the skin's integrity.
