Our skilled professionals will collaborate with you to design a personalized look that harmonizes with your unique features, allowing your best self to shine through.

With our lip lining and blush tattoos, you'll enjoy long-lasting outcomes with minimal upkeep. Experience the transformative power of lip blushing, a tattoo technique that not only enhances the colour but also refines the shape and overall appearance of your lips, providing you with approximately 2-3 years of captivating beauty.

Lip Blush

Lip blushing, a semi-permanent makeup technique, is an exquisite form of cosmetic tattooing that enhances the natural beauty of your lips. By providing definition and creating the illusion of fullness, it transforms the shape of your lips, delivering remarkably natural results.

At Colour Clinic, we understand the importance of personalization. Each client's lips are meticulously designed to meet their unique needs and desired aesthetic. Our approach takes into account individual facial features, measurements, and bone structure, ensuring a tailored experience for every client.

For individuals prone to cold sores, we prioritize your safety. Before undergoing this procedure, it is necessary to obtain a prescription of Valtrex (with a refill) from your doctor. This precautionary step ensures your well-being throughout the process.

Using advanced machinery, we artfully layer colour onto your lips, resulting in a stunning translucent blush effect. Our lip blushing service not only corrects uneven lip tones but also addresses any asymmetry, ensuring a harmonious and balanced appearance. With precision and expertise, we can create a flawless canvas for your lips, enhancing their natural beauty in the most captivating way.

The duration of the procedure typically ranges from 2.5 to 3 hours.

Our all-over lip colour treatment rejuvenates your appearance, eliminating the "washed out" look that some women experience when not wearing lipstick. By restoring a vibrant and youthful hue to your lips, this procedure brings forth a natural radiance that enhances your overall beauty. Say goodbye to dullness and embrace a fresh, revitalized look that doesn't require constant lipstick application.

Lip Neutralization

We provide an exclusive lip neutralization service designed to address uneven or discoloured lips. Our specialized treatment caters specifically to women of colour who wish to lighten the appearance of their naturally darker lips.

Our procedure entails the art of tattooing neutralizing colours into the lips, resulting in a balanced tone and a harmonious, uniform look. Whether you seek to enhance your inherent beauty or rectify a cosmetic issue, our expert team is committed to helping you attain your desired aesthetic outcome.

Lip neutralization is a temporary solution, and to sustain your desired results, it may be necessary to undergo periodic treatments.

The number of treatments needed for lip neutrality can vary from person to person. Typically, individuals will begin to observe a colour difference after their second treatment. It's important to note that the darker the natural lip colour, the more treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired outcome. After the lips have been tattooed with a neutralizing colour, it is crucial to allow ample time for the lips to heal before assessing the final effect. In most instances, this healing process typically takes around 4 weeks.

When it comes to lip neutralization, it's important to note that the available colour options are limited. Our clinic offers a lip neutralizer that can lighten your lips to a shade of light pink or pinky coral. However, we do not provide darker colours for women with pigmented skin, as achieving optimal results for this skin tone may not be feasible.

Lip Liner

Permanent lip liner involves tattooing the vermilion border of the lips, providing a long-lasting solution. As women age, the size, contrast, and definition of the lips often diminish, resulting in a faded or less noticeable appearance.

By opting for permanent lip liners, you can achieve fuller, more well-defined, and more youthful-looking lips. This technique is particularly beneficial for individuals whose natural lip line has faded over time. Moreover, if you have noticeable asymmetries in your lips, permanent lip liner can help restore balance to your overall facial aesthetics.

The duration of the effects of permanent lip liner typically last for approximately 2-3 years.

The primary objective of permanent lip liners is to enhance the appearance of the lips by making them appear fuller, more symmetrical, well-defined, and slightly more pigmented. It is important to note that clients who are prone to cold sores should obtain a prescription for an antiviral medication (such as Valtrex) prior to undergoing the procedure. This precautionary measure helps minimize the risk of cold sore outbreaks during and after the treatment.

To ensure minimal discomfort, a numbing cream is applied to the lip area prior to the procedure. This cream helps control pain, ensuring a comfortable experience for the client. Once the area is numb, our skilled technician will use a lip pencil to carefully draw a line around the lips, correcting any asymmetries. This serves as a guide before proceeding with the tattooing process, where the desired lip shape and definition are achieved.

At our clinic, clients can select from two distinct lip liner procedures based on their preferences and desired results. The first option is the Blended Lip Liner, which creates a gentle gradient blend towards the inner portion of the lips. This technique offers a soft and natural effect while still defining the lip shape. On the other hand, the Solid Lip Liner technique involves the application of a precise and sharp outline along the lip border, providing a more defined and pronounced appearance. It is common for clients to opt for the Solid Lip Liner to combine it with lip blushing for a natural and enhanced overall look.

Your Lip Pre and After Care Instructions

To ensure optimal results and colour retention for your lip procedure, please follow these guidelines. Gently exfoliate the lips and the surrounding mouth area twice a day to remove any dead skin. This will help create a smoother surface for the procedure. Keep your lips and mouth area moisturized by using your regular facial cream and a lip balm before the appointment. You can exfoliate using a toothbrush or create a homemade exfoliant with sugar, honey, and a drop of lemon juice. Perform this exfoliation routine twice a day for several days leading up to your initial and follow-up appointments. If you have a history of cold sores, it is mandatory to consult a doctor before the lip procedure. Obtain a prescription for Valtrex, an antiviral medication that can help reduce the likelihood of an outbreak. Avoid wearing lip stains or long-lasting lipsticks for 48 hours prior to your lip procedure.

For the first 7 days after the procedure, it is crucial to keep your lips dry. While you can still shower or wash your face, make sure to apply a thick layer of Vaseline before doing so. This protective layer will prevent water from affecting your new lip colour by causing it to bead off. After showering or washing your face, wipe off the Vaseline using a baby wipe or facial wipe, and then apply a special healing ointment. Allow your lips to air dry for 3-5 minutes before applying the healing ointment to avoid trapping moisture. After the initial 7 days, you no longer need to apply Vaseline before showering, washing your face, or brushing your teeth.

It is crucial to maintain clean lips if you decide to skip showering before bed or on a particular morning. Start by wiping off the previous application of special healing ointment using a baby wipe or facial wipe. Allow your lips to air dry for 3-5 minutes, and then reapply the special healing ointment. To ensure cleanliness, avoid touching your lips with unwashed hands. Touching your lips with dirty hands can introduce potential secondary infections. In the event of an infection, applying a topical antibiotic may cause the colour to fade from your lips. Therefore, refrain from using any topical antibiotic on your new lips unless you are nearly certain of an infection. Instead, it is advised to contact or visit your doctor for further guidance.

To promote proper healing, it is important to apply the special healing ointment a minimum of 3 times per day using Q-tips instead of fingers. Continue this routine for 2-3 weeks or longer if necessary. When applying the ointment, ensure it is spread in the thinnest amount possible to avoid excessive buildup. To maintain hygiene, never double dip a used Q-tip into the container or package of the special healing ointment. This precaution helps prevent contamination and maintains the integrity of the product.

When applying the special healing ointment to your new lips, gently massage it using circular or back-and-forth motions. It's important to avoid applying an excessive amount of ointment that causes it to drip from your lips. If you notice any excess, simply blot it with tissue paper. Keep in mind that applying too much ointment can hinder the healing process. Your new lip tattoo requires proper ventilation to heal effectively and retain its colour. Therefore, it's best to use a minimal amount of the ointment. Remember, less is more when it comes to applying the special healing ointment.

During the first week after the procedure, expect bright and swollen lips that will deflate by day 2 but still maintain a vibrant colour. When applying the special healing ointment, don't be alarmed if you notice some colour transferring onto the Q-tip as it is residual pigment. Tender lips can be relieved with over-the-counter pain relievers like Tylenol or Advil, and icing them at home can help reduce discomfort and swelling, and promote faster healing. It's normal for the lips to feel dry during the healing process, but avoid picking, peeling, or hastening this stage. The peeling and flaking of the lips will include small pieces of pigment, which is part of the normal healing process. Moving into the second week, after the scabs and flakes have disappeared, the lips may appear lighter due to new skin cells regenerating. Don't worry, as the colour will bloom by week 4. For darker pigmented lips, achieving desired lightening or brightening may require 2-4 sessions of layering in colour. The number of sessions needed increases with the darkness of the natural lip colour.

While the icing is not obligatory for tattooed or microbladed brows, it is strongly advised for eyeliner and lip tattooing to reduce swelling. To create a homemade gel pack, fill a ziplock bag with a combination of ice cubes and water. Apply the pack to your brows, eyeliner, or lips for 5 minutes, then take a 10-15 minute break. Repeat this process as needed. When returning the ice pack to the freezer, remember to place it in a fresh bag before storing it. Additionally, ensure that you place the pack on a clean paper towel each time in the freezer.

A touch-up session is typically scheduled between weeks 5-8 after the initial procedure to ensure the work is perfected or to add an additional layer of colour. The timing of the touch-up appointment depends on factors such as age, healing ability, bleeding tendency, sensitivity, and availability. The duration of touch-up sessions can range from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the required work. Reasonable enhancements can be made during the touch-up, including changing the tone from warm to cool or vice versa. The fee for the 5-8 week Touch Up/Follow-Up/Perfection Visit is $99, plus HST. If further touch-ups are desired, they must be scheduled within 8 weeks of the last touch-up session, with the same fee of $99, plus HST. Healing from the touch-up session tends to be less stressful compared to the initial procedure since you already know what to expect.
